This week students worked on their science report. They are due 11/1, next Thursday. We will then proceed to work on our material list and procedures for their project. Students may begin their experiment after 11/2. Please try to take pictures. They may put these on their boards at the end. You may also purchase your science boards now too. Thanks for your help.

This week students worked in the library doing research on their project. We worked on our school computers, integrating technology, by using Discus. Students are welcome to access this at home. Username: Discus 13 Password: Homework
Students will continue to work next week to finish research and write a one page report using the facts they gathered. Ask your students some of the unique information they learned about their topics. For instance, we cannot live or survive without sodium. Thanks Josh for that cool fact. Chandler found out that Helium and one H atom. We are really putting our research skills to use. During the month of October students will start their science project. They should have turned in the idea last week, by October 5. Please read the letter and returned the bottom signed as soon as possible. On October 18, we will go to the library and begin researching their topic. The majority of the project will be done in class. Students will take notes and write their report during the month of October. Each Thursday will be set aside to work on the project. Students will have a folder to keep their work in a safe place. We will write each part together. At the end I will give them their folder and they will assemble the work on the science board. Please check back on this class blog to see our progress... |
