Today my 5th grade go to go meet their new teacher. It is so sad to see a piece of me leave. BUT I got to see my former student before they leave for 7th grade. It has been a bitter sweet day. Lots of fun and tears but we are ready for summer.
The wait is over. We have hatched eggs, watched caterpillar become a butterfly, kept frogs and tadpoles. Well now the tadpoles are becoming frogs! We are so excited to see all our animals grow. Students used their knowledge of geometric shapes to make a robot. They wrote a story of their robot and labeled all the shapes. Come see them on Tuesday. We have one duck and 5 chicks. We have made observations, weighed and measured each baby. Students are doing a great job researching and taking care of the animals. They have added them to their individual web sites. We can't wait to share with parents on May 26. Science technology engineering and math all at once in one class? Students have designed projects, researched, engineered, and put their plan into action. Come celebrate with us May 26! |
