Students had the opportunity to chat live with scientist. They ask about the climate, animals, and location of the tundra. They were on the frozen Hudson River. It was very cool to chat with students across the world. Students got a up close view of the tundra including polar bears, penguins, and seals. This was a unique classroom opportunity using our new technology.
Students finished our unit on cells today. After researching different cells and what they are made of, students made a cell cookie.
They used icing as the cytoplasm. Students loves this part. They loved eating the "gel" like substance.
We used different candy as the organelles. They said cells make a great breakfast.
I hope to get students excited about science and the world around them.
